Welcome to { Shadow of Reflection }

So I turned on my PC this morning and went to this site, only to find just a fantastic little comment on my tagboard...

It's pretty uncool to go on someone's personal website and tell them that their header image is "fugly" and to change it. First off, it's my page. If you don't like it, don't visit it. It's not like you need to come here. Secondly, I happen to LIKE the header image, okay? True, many don't know what it is and if you don't, I don't blame you, but don't rip on it. And if you're curious, it's the beginning of the kinky 'gun' sex scene with David Bowie in the film, "The Man Who to Earth". I happen to really like it. It's different and I thought I'd try that for once rather than do something that is really similar to my previous work.

I would never go to someone's site and complain about what they have posted. I would never criticize something like this. It's flat out rude. This is like, one outlet for me that makes me really happy and don't need that crap. So please have it noted that if you decide to do that, you will be banned from the site and your comments deleted. Sorry, but I don't need added insults in my life, especially here. It is incredibly unnecessary.

That being said, those of you who are positive (the MAJORITY), you make my day. I adore you guys and thank you SO much.

I didn't get my job. I'm incredibly depressed by this because it all went SO well and I was so happy and thought I really had a shot. I thought I would be able to finally start getting out of debt and get my life back on track, but now it is just getting dragged further into the mud. So today was a rough day. I woke up around noon and got the message, only to eat lunch and force myself to go back to sleep because all I could keep thinking about was suicide and it usually helps me to sleep when that goes on.

My husband lightened my mood by bringing me to see Richard Cheese. If you haven't heard him, look him up. He's hysterical. We ended up being invited into the VIP lounge for some unknown reason.

I finished up on capping the rest of the Harry Potter series, so I have all of them now.

Some new stuff. I capped the second Deathly Hallows. Obviously it's a cam from a theater, but I know some people online like to use those caps from Tumblr and stuff, so I posted them. If you have any issue with it, don't look at them.

New Artwork

These are both for the "How I Met Your Mother" challenge at the Buffyforums.

- Always: I decided to do this piece around my favorite ship in the Harry Potter series, Lily and Snape. It's pretty simple. I showed when the two met up and we're first friends. Although it all ends tragically, I loved this part. I used the lines from Snape and Dumbledore because it is so lovely.

- Until the Sky Bleeds Red: This is based on my favorite ship of True Blood, Jessica and Hoyt. I decided to do the first moment they meant just because I feel it is really set up well in the show. I used the red and yellow tones to signify not only the passion of love at first sight, but also the fact that Jessica is first drawn to all the blood around her, being a baby vampire. Just the fact that these lyrics had the word blood in them without really relating to it and worked so well with the scene, made me pretty happy.

Went to a job interview today!!!!

It was with Best Buy corporate in their finance department. I really hope I get it because it will be such a saving grace for me. I'll be able to pay some BILLS!!!!

New Artwork
- Bloodstained Sheets: Made for the Bleed to Love Her challenge at the Buffyforums. One thing I really like about this show is that it can have its really vanilla moments, but it totally makes up for those by having some genuinely frightening scenes and shots in it. This is one of them, in my opinion. I found Damon to be just terrifying in this scene. I decided to do the multiple black and white duplicates to really accent the terror of his image in it. I felt that having only the one image simply wasn't enough. Adding more of them and making them stand out with black and white seemed to make them pop more.

I feel excited about a possible job...

I currently am capping the BluRay of the third season of True Blood, so you'll be seeing some caps from that season disappear and then later appear in much better quality and resolution.
