On a personal note, I am going to Comic Con for the first time ever this year! Hooray! My husband is going for work, so I'm going with him. We actually had to switch our flights because we were going to leave on Sunday morning, but then I found out that the Supernatural panel is on Sunday. That changed things a bit. If anyone has been there before, can you contact me via my LJ? I have a post over there about it, but I really don't know what to expect. I know that the rooms for panels (and everything else) fill up and once they do, if you're not there, you're screwed. All I really am psyched about seeing there is the Supernatural panel and the Dollhouse one. Anything else, if I don't see it, it's okay. But if anyone has any advice on conventions, that would be great. I've never been to one. And considering I had to redo a flight schedule where I fly to LA, hang around for three hours, hop a flight at midnight, get home at 5 on Monday morning, and take another day off work vs. the direct flight home on Sunday, I'm REALLY hoping it's not for nothing.
As much as I wanted to have the awards done before the holiday, it's just not going to happen. I was judging over the weekend and there are too many awesome AUs! I love AU videos and it is SO hard to pick just one this round. So I strongly encourage you to submit your videos again in the future if you don't get an award this time around. This is only the second time I have had to pull in a second judge to help me out. Last time it was between Aimee's "My Demise", Kitty's "All Around Me", and Wolfpup's "Prelude 12/21" for Best Video way back in the day and I had to recruit my sister. Considering I have the holiday this weekend and will be out of town, awards won't be up this weekend. But after that I have a four day weekend all to my quiet self, so I'll get them posted then.
In other challenge news, I am currently running a challenge at the Buffyforums called, "What's in the Box?" It's a Seven reference. The challenge is an art one that has to do with the seven deadly sins and applying them to your favorite fandoms. So if you feel up to it, enter some art! It ends on June 10.
The following is a piece that I did for the "Eclipse" challenge at the Buffyforums and is called "What You've Got to Do". It's the only wall I have ever made that I originally liked it better without words. But I also had words planned, so I made two versions. One with only the images and one with the lyrics from Triumph's "Fight the Good Fight".
I made 100 new X-Files icons for a challenge at the XF100 community at Livejournal. They are all in the Fanart section, but can also be found in my LJ. There are also twentysome new Supernatural icons there and a bunch of Supernatural animations. I'm trying to put the animations on this site as well for those who don't go on the Livejournal, but for some reason, they won't load. So until I fix that, they are just on my LJ.
I added 464 images to the Supernatural section because I finally got the gallery working again. The stupid thing wouldn't let me log in as the admin. I swear, there is something wrong with it everytime I use it. Anyway, they are all the season one stills that have been hanging out on my PC forever. Again, if anyone enjoys the gallery, let me know because it's the first time I have integrated the thing into the site and doing upkeep does take a lot of my time. I saw that the Minka Kelly pictures were viewed quite a few times, so I'm hoping someone is taking interest.

Round 28 is closed!!! I will be working on awards this week and reviews for Round 27 will be up with the Round 28 awards.
I just created a new section on the site dedicated to lovebars or colorbars, depending on what you like to call them. Someone asked for a custom one on LiveJournal, I made a bunch, and they were a hit! So I'll be making them in the future as well. If anyone has any requests, feel free, I love making custom ones. Just please credit either my LiveJournal or website.
In the gallery, I recently updated the Adrianne Palicki section with a bunch of new photos and some older ones of better resolution. I also added 47 photos of Minka Kelly.

Oh, my god...this has been a freaking project. So I recently resized, recategorized, and uploaded all of my Supernatural season 2 and 3 stills, plus all the behind the scenes stuff. The season 1 stuff is on my PC, but is yet to come. Some had better look at these babies!

I have now added an actual Twilight wallpaper section to the site. So it's over in the fanart section with all the other walls. I have added the following walls to the site.
- "Sheep": This was done when my PS7 was on the fritz, so it didn't turn out exactly how I wanted, but I still like it. I chose the lyrics to describe how I felt about Bella's character at the beginning of the series.
- "Laughing Pain": I was so excited when I got the caps for this teaser; this just needed to be done. This is completely inspired by Ehlwyen's art style with all the lighting. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. The way I first had it look was AWFUL, so this is much better.
My recap video has been drastically changed for the SVS challenge. Lucky for me, I'm a nerd and may ACTUALLY get this finished in time for the deadline. Wish me luck...
Round 28 now has 8 spaces open. The nominees so far are awesome and I look forward to watching them all. Send in your stuff for pretty awards!!!
